Who we are
Raconteo is your story and ours.
Behind this project, there are two of us: Anne-Charlotte and Alexandre. A sociologist and researcher who has lived several lives: model, humanitarian, tech… And an engineer and product director, convinced that technology only matters when it serves real people. Above all, a couple convinced that the most precious stories are often the ones we never had time to tell.
Why we created Raconteo
One day, I started asking my mother questions. Real questions, not 'how are you', but 'what was your childhood like?', 'what did you dream of doing at 20?'.
Through her answers, I discovered a little girl I didn't know. I saw my mother differently. It changed something between us.
Yet in my professional life, I interview people every day, it's my job. Profiles with nothing in common, whose unique stories have always struck me: children, entrepreneurs, travellers, mothers, doctors, butchers, senior executives, soldiers… And I had never really taken the time to ask my own parents these questions.
My mother started writing down her memories. She would send me a new chapter every month. Reading those pages, I realised how precious this transmission was, but accessible only to those who know how to write and have the time.
That's how Raconteo was born: keeping that richness, that depth, that emotion while making it simple and accessible to all.

A team that makes it work
Anne-Charlotte
co-founder
PhD in sociology. 10 years in humanitarian fieldwork, gathering stories in sensitive contexts to understand, to inform, to help. Then 5 years in tech, learning to build products that truly serve people. That dual experience guides every question Raconteo asks: how to ask, how to listen, how to bring depth to a story.
Alexandre
co-founder
Engineer by training, 15 years in tech building products and leading teams, from code to strategic decisions. One conviction drives him: technology only matters when it disappears behind use. That's what guides every choice in Raconteo: a solid infrastructure so your stories last, an experience simple enough to forget while using it, and the kind of attention to detail that makes a difference.
Together, we believe the most useful technology is the one that steps aside to make room for what's human.
