At Raconteo, we take pride in the quality of our printed books. Every copy is carefully inspected before shipping. Due to the personalized and custom-made nature of our products, we offer refunds only in cases of material defects or printing errors.
Eligible for refund
You may be eligible for a full refund or replacement if your book has:
- Manufacturing defects — Damaged binding, torn pages, or structural issues
- Printing errors — Blurry text, missing pages, or significant color discrepancies (not caused by uploaded images)
- Material defects — Paper or cover quality not meeting our standards
- Wrong product — If you receive a book completely different from the one you ordered
- Shipping damage — Books damaged in transit (must be reported within 7 days of receipt)
Not eligible
Refunds are not granted in the following situations:
- Content dissatisfaction — Dissatisfaction with AI-assisted content or your own text
- Design choices — Regret about the layout, formatting, or design options you chose
- Image quality — Poor quality of photos or images you uploaded
- Change of mind — Decision that you no longer want the book after ordering
- User errors — Typos, spelling mistakes, or errors in the content you approved
- Customization preferences — Wishing you had chosen different options

How to request a refund
If you believe your book is eligible for a refund, follow these steps:
- Contact us within 30 days of receiving your book at bonjour@raconteo.com
- Provide your order number (found in your confirmation email)
- Describe the issue in detail
- Attach photos clearly showing the defect
Our team will review your request within 2 to 3 business days and respond with the next steps.
Refund options
If your request is approved, you may choose from:
- Full refund — Returned to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days
- Reprint — We print and ship a new book at no additional cost
- Store credit — Credit to create another book in the future
Return shipping
For defective products, we provide a prepaid return label. You do not need to cover the return shipping costs. Please package the book carefully to avoid additional damage during return transit.
